Portable Water Treatment

Substantial part of purification process of drinking water and ground water, treatment of industrial and municipal waste water ia carried out by activated carbon. ACPL produces a wide range of coconut shell activated carbon for point-of-use(POU) and point-of-entry(POE) water purification application. Since their low dust, low ash characteristics, these carbons meet the strict standars of the national Sanitation Foundation(NSF),USA. The major objectives in using granular activated carbon(GAC) are the removal of taste and odour including organic compounds, overall organics (like DOC,TOC),pesticides,detergents,suspended solids and excess, chlorine etc. Powder activated carbon(PAC) is widely used for removal of taste and odour,organic micro pollutants etc in a cost effective manner.

Wastewater treatment

Whether it is the treatment of wastewater,effluent or contaminated ground water, ACPL grades of carbon are the right choice for any kind of purification process.Due to the high internal surface area and specific adsorption capacities, ACPL carbon can adsorb large quantities of dissolved organics from waste water. Granular carbon filtration is used for removing dissolved,non biodegradable organics using fixed filter beds.Powder carbon is used by mixing it with the sludge for better process stability and improve setting characteristics of the sludge.
